Nancy Campbell Allen is the author of 13 published novels, which encompass a variety of genres from contemporary romantic suspense to historical fiction to steampunk. Her Civil War series, Faith of our Fathers, won the Utah Best of State award in 2005 and two of her historicals featuring Isabelle Webb, Pinkerton spy, were nominated for the Whitney Award. She has presented at numerous conferences and events since her initial publication in 1999 and has served on writing conference committees since 2007.

Nancy’s Regency romance, My Fair Gentleman was released in January 2016 from Shadow Mountain. Under the pen name, Kari Gray, she writes paranormal romance novels and novellas. Her short story, “Marie,” was recently included in an anthology, Altered Perceptions, alongside authors such as Brandon Sanderson, Dan Wells, Rob Wells, and Josi Kilpack.

Nancy’s most recent release, Beauty and the Clockwork Beast, (August 2016) is the first in Shadow Mountain’s Steampunk Proper Romance line, and has received starred reviews from Publisher’s Weekly, Romantic Times Book Review Magazine, and multiple review sites. She is represented by literary agent Pam Howell (D4EO Literary Agency).

She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Weber State University and she has worked as a freelance editor for the past five years, contributing to the release, We Knew Howard Hughes, by Jim Whetton, and My Life Encapsulated, by Kenneth Brailsford. She also edits YA (young adult) paranormals for indie authors and other various work for multiple editing companies.

Nancy is married and the mother of three children, and lives in Ogden, Utah with her family and one very large Siberian Husky named Thor.
